They often ask why I chose to use ballpoint pens as my adventure companions compared to pencils, watercolors, tempera, or any hesitant painting… The answer is very simple… I love their strong line and their flexibility. I like to push them to the extreme and play with different speeds and pressures to empathize with the subjects I represent and bring out the emotions that arise in me.

ABOUT ME
Simply Davide Soldati, aka Edivad Draws, born in 1985.
He lives between Verona and Milan and since he was a child he was a lover of the world of art and design, but unfortunately growing up, as often happens, he had to put aside his dreams and devote himself to reality. Color has always accompanied him in his daily life… one of the games he often likes to play is to associate a color with the people he meets on the street… he tries, at first glance, to capture their character or mood and translate it in the form of color…
During the period of the pandemic that hit the whole world in 2020, the need arose in him to get closer to that world and to immortalize the emotions of the moment on a white sheet of paper through simple colored ballpoint pens…
