SINGLE ARTWORK

Every single artwork is made with ballpoint pens on a white A4 sheet (8.3 x 11.7 in) and stored inside a white acid-free passe-partout frame, which can, in turn, be framed or hung directly on the wall. To guarantee the originality of the work, it’s signed on the front and it’s authenticated by the author himself on the back of the sheet through stamp and autograph signature. Each work is unique… it is practically impossible to have two identical ones because each drawing is the result of the moment and of the free hand that slides on the totally white sheet.

They often ask why I chose to use ballpoint pens as my adventure companions compared to pencils, watercolors, tempera, or any hesitant painting… The answer is very simple… I love their strong line and their flexibility. I like to push them to the extreme and play with different speeds and pressures to empathize with the subjects I represent and bring out the emotions that arise in me.
